Lesson 1 - Healing the Nobleman's Son; Nobleman's faith for son's healing

The aim of the lesson: To teach your students that faith is (1) believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and taking Him at His word, (2) believing without seeing, (3) involves obedience.

  • What your students should know: God and His precious Son are completely trustworthy.
  • What your students should feel: An earnest desire to put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • What your students should do: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God and receive Him as Saviour.

Lesson outline (for the teacher’s and students’ notebooks):

1.The nobleman decides to ask Jesus for help (John 4:46).

2.The nobleman goes to Jesus (John 4:47).

3.The nobleman believes what Jesus says (John 4:47-50).

4.The servants report the son is healed (John 4:51-54). 5.The man sees his son is healed.
